Some flavors come and go. This one earned its place.

What started as our attempt to capture one of Pennsylvania’s most iconic desserts has quickly become one of the flavors we simply cannot keep in the case.

Deep blackstrap molasses. The flavor of shoofly pie reimagined as ice cream. Made here in Pennsylvania, inspired by the place we call home.

So we decided it shouldn’t be a limited batch anymore.

Shoofly Pie is officially joining our six original flavors as a permanent Country Creamery staple.

There’s something about the flavors that come out of a kitchen when nobody is measuring too carefully and there’s always something sweet sitting on the counter.

That’s where Grandma’s Kitchen comes in.

We start with peanut butter ice cream, then load it with brownie bites, chunks of cookie dough, and even more peanut butter. It’s rich, nostalgic, a little over the top, and exactly how we think Grandma would have made it.

There’s something about a big pot of ham pot pie bubbling away on the stove that makes a chilly day feel a little warmer.

Tomorrow, we’re making this Pennsylvania classic the way it should be. Rolled dough cut into squares, dropped into rich ham broth and slowly cooked until everything becomes thick, tender and bubbly.

You can almost hear it simmering.

The kitchen gets a little warmer. The smell of butter, brown sugar, spice, and fruit fills the room. And somehow, cutting into that first pie of the season feels like fall has officially arrived.

So for our newest ice cream flight, we went back to some of the pies we love making this time of year and turned them into ice cream.

For the past year, one question has kept finding its way back to us:

For anyone wondering why an ice cream flavor has people asking about it months later, Shoofly is our take on one of Pennsylvania’s most iconic desserts. We build the ice cream around that deep, unmistakable molasses flavor, layer in a house-made molasses swirl, and finish it with buttery shoofly crumb throughout.

It’s rich. Dark. Sticky. Buttery. Nostalgic. And unlike pretty much anything else in the case.

Last fall, people discovered this one.

There’s something magical that happens when warm melted chocolate hits ice-cold mint ice cream.

We start with our smooth mint ice cream, then melt down semi-sweet chocolate and blend it right into the batch as it churns. The chocolate hardens instantly, shattering into hundreds of delicate little flakes of chocolate throughout every scoop.

Cool, creamy, chocolatey, and ridiculously good.

PUMPKIN CHEESECAKE IS HERE.

This might be the most dangerously good flavor we’ve made for fall.

We start with our signature pumpkin ice cream, rich, creamy, perfectly spiced, and basically everything you want fall to taste like. Then we fold in thick swirls of cheesecake and finish it with buttery graham cracker pieces in every scoop.

Pumpkin pie meets cheesecake meets homemade ice cream.

Creamy. Tangy. Spiced. Buttery. Ridiculous.

This is the kind of flavor where you take one bite and immediately realize a single scoop was a mistake.
