We started on the South Side, made our way to the West Side, and now it’s time to show some love to our North Shore ʻohana! 🤙🏽

TOMORROW (Saturday) we’ll be serving up 200 FREE burritos for North Shore families.

TACO LIBRE WINS THE GUAC-OFF 2026!!! 🥑🏆
WE TOOK HOME BOTH AWARDS! 🔥

We went head to head with 20 other competitors in a completely blind taste test. Every guac was put into a numbered cup. No names, no businesses, no hints. It was so anonymous that WE DIDN’T EVEN KNOW FOR SURE WHICH ONE WAS OURS 😂

There were two awards up for grabs:
🥑 People’s Choice
👨‍🍳 Chef Judges’ Choice
AND TACO LIBRE WON BOTH!!! 🏆🏆

Huge mahalo to and for putting on such an awesome event and bringing everyone together to support KKCR, especially after they helped keep our island informed when we needed it most. ❤️

Taco Libre needs your help. ❤️
The past week has been a lot. After the hurricane, we knew we wanted to do whatever we could to help our community. But unfortunately we were dealing with damage of our own.

Our food truck was damaged during the hurricane. A roof leak caused electrical problems, and we believe with the power surges it caused our refrigerator to stop working properly, we lost our food, and right now Taco Libre is unable to operate.

We’re trying to raise enough to repair the truck, replace what was lost, and get Taco Libre back open so we can get back to doing what we love, feeding all of you!

If you’re able to donate, anything helps. If you’re not in a position to donate, sharing this video means just as much to us.

We love you guys, and we can’t wait to get back to work. ❤️🌯

KAUAʻI, WE GOT YOU. ❤️🌯
It’s been a rough few days for our island. Families have been without power, people have missed work, homes and property have been damaged, and some of our communities were hit especially hard. Tomorrow, we want to do what we can.

🌯 FREE BURRITOS FOR LOCAL FAMILIES
Rice • Beans • Cheese • Salsa
Friday | 12PM until sellout

If you’re local, it’s FREE.
Take what you and your family need. We’re trusting our community to take care of each other. ❤️

If you’re visiting Kauaʻi, burritos will be $15 each
Limit 1 per person. 100% of your $15 will be donated to local families affected by Hurricane Lowell.

We’ll also be accepting donations at Taco Libre to bring to the Kekaha Community Hub for distribution to families in need.

MOST NEEDED:
Coolers • Chainsaws • Shovels • Wheelbarrows • Electrolyte packets • Pull-Ups sizes 4–6
We’re also looking to borrow 2 generators.

We’re accepting non-perishable essentials too: water, canned goods, rice, snacks, baby supplies, hygiene products, pet food and more.

If you need help, come eat. If you’re in a position to help, come give. Bring what you can.
