Thank you to everyone who’s supported our little corner of the Old City, from the people who’ve been here since day one to those who just found us. We’re feeling pretty lucky.

Which makes this week a fitting time to try our Xiao Miyeok-guk Soup Dumpling, our Vegan Chef Challenge dish inspired by the Korean tradition of eating miyeok-guk on your birthday for good health and luck.

We’re officially kicking off birthday week celebrations 🎉

Otsu is turning another year older on September 25th, which makes it the absolute perfect time to come try our Vegan Chef Challenge dish: the Xiao Miyeok-guk Soup Dumpling.

Korean seaweed soup with king oyster mushroom and tofu in a green spinach wrapper. In Korean culture, Miyeok-guk is a seaweed soup traditionally eaten on birthdays for good health and luck. We put our own spin on it for the challenge, and it’s on the menu all month long, but eating it during our birthday week just feels right!
