Warning! Long boring content ahead. Read at your own risk or skip to the end for a summary.
I’ve been noodling on a certain menu item for a good long while now: milkshakes. Here at Coffee Paws we really pride ourselves on two things: quality and value. And those two things can be quite hard to balance sometimes. To deliver on quality we have to use only the best ingredients. And to deliver a great value, (without compromising quality) we need to sell a LOT of volume. Why do we have the cheapest energy drinks in town? Because y’all show up and buy them every day, sometimes twice a day. We open 5+ cases a day, and for a tiny little shop like ours, that’s big business.
“But what does that have to do with milkshakes?” you ask. Unfortunately, our milkshakes land firmly in the “value” category. They’re cheap and just fine, and frankly folks, that’s not good enough for us. So after a lot of thinking, we decided to cut them from our menu entirely, to focus more on what we excel at. You want the best coffee in town? Here we are. We serve it hot, iced, or blended. We can even make it decaf! You want a milkshake? We’ll direct you to a nice local place, like Sugar Pine Treats, they have a drive thru, you know. Or Baskin Robbins! I hear they have a new owner and she’s bringing fresh energy to the table.
The promised summary:
We don’t serve milkshakes anymore.
