This Saturday, February 14, the Noon Cafe family will step away from our regular hours to take part in the Global Day of Action, in solidarity for human rights and freedom for our people in Iran.

Iranians and all freedom-loving people around the world will gather — traveling to Los Angeles, Munich, and Toronto, or coming together in their own cities — to echo the voices that were silenced in Iran.

Because we must be present, we will be closed until 4 PM, with no weekend breakfast or lunch service. We will reopen in the evening.

Some days require us to show up beyond our doors.
We invite our customers and community to stand with us.

The voices taken from Iran will continue through us — but if we stay silent, history will repeat itself.

Mixing ajil, printing Hafez poems, rolling scrolls, burning edges for love, filling bags, and making every Noon Cafe guest’s fortune completely unique — all for the longest night of the year. 🌙✨

Last weekend’s special took a Greek-inspired turn 🇬🇷 and brought together familiarity and creativity on one plate: TomatOrzo🍅🌾, served with Chicken & Zucchini Skewers🍢.

Organic, whole wheat orzo “rice” gently simmered with onions🧅, peas🫛, marinated & oven-roasted bell pepper strips 🫑, and tomato, then steamed with our house herbs and spices for a rich, cozy base. (Fun fact: orzo may look like rice, but it’s actually a tiny pasta beloved across the Mediterranean 🍝.)

Served with two organic flame-grilled skewers with alternating pieces of chicken & zucchini — each marinated in-house, threaded alternately for perfect balance, grilled, and brushed with a special sauce 🖌️for that final glossy, aromatic finish 🔥.

Finished with pepper drops 🌶️ bursting with flavor, ‘Greek’ Kalamata olives 🫒, and a cute little terracotta mini-pot of refreshing ‘Greek’ Tzatziki 🪴 made in house — garnished with a crunchy cucumber slice 🥒✨.

A comforting yet creative fusion — all organic, all delicious. 🌾🛒
