We walked to this traditional restaurant on our second night in Bologna.
American tourists without reservations.

Pasta, Parmesan Reggiano, and Black Truffles on risotto!
Then, the entrees…..
And a bottle of local wine,

Traditional Balsamic Vinegar of Modena, Italy!
An emotional highlight of Modena in January 2016.
We visited this Grandmother’s house and tasted the
authentic Balsamic Vinegar she and her family had been making for generations, literally in her attic.
The combination of the heat in the summer and the cold in the winter is the perfect environment to spend 12 to 25 years in a cask.

Since San Juan Bistro is closed for the season, and we are not traveling due to COVID-19,
we decided to share more of our recent trips with you.
