🍨✨ Remember when we were kids and thought having ice cream for dinner would be the BEST thing ever?

Well… apparently grown up me still agrees. 😂 I got a little too distracted sampling our new gelato at Tortugas and somehow… that became dinner.

Pumpkin spice season may be here, but let’s be real…any time of year is a good time for gelato. 🇮🇹🤌

🏴‍☠️🐢 PIRATES MONTH IS COMING TO TORTUGAS! 🐢🏴‍☠️

Starting October 1st, get ready for one of our most exciting months EVER at Tortugas — PIRATES MONTH! ⚓️🌴💰

And look who has officially joined the Tortugas crew… our very own LIFE-SIZE LEGO PIRATE! 😍🏴‍☠️

He’ll be hanging out at Tortugas ALL MONTH LONG, so bring the kids, grab your favorite smoothie or açaí bowl, and come take some awesome pirate pictures with him! 📸

But that’s not all…

🪎🏴‍☠️ Our pirate will have his very own TREASURE CHEST filled with surprises for everyone who comes to visit! Come aboard, take a picture and see what treasure is waiting for you!

And of course, Pirates Month wouldn’t be complete without a HUGE shoutout to our very own PALISADES PIRATES! 💜🏴‍☠️

Throughout October, we’ll be celebrating our local Pirates with a special Palisades student & staff discount!

Today is our day off at Tortugas, and I found myself doing a little reflecting… 🐢💙

I’ve been thinking about what I really want Tortugas to feel like.

Yes, we’re a café… but I hope when you walk through our doors, you feel something more.

I hope it feels like a little piece of home. A place where you feel seen, loved and genuinely welcomed. A place where you can walk through the door exactly as you are…no pretending, no proving, no changing yourself to belong.

Come with your crazy energy. Come quiet. Come happy. Come having a hard day. Come completely and wonderfully YOU. 🌴✨

Because here, I want you to know that you are enough exactly as you are. You are loved exactly as you are. And you are extraordinary exactly as you are. 💙

And today I realized something…
