Hello! We'll keep this one brief because right now we're kicking off Falafel Night at 608 Broadway! Come see us now through 8 pm for falafel and chicken shawarma in a house-made laffa wrap, over rice, or with our famous "loaded" fries. We're currently taking phone orders for takeout too, although we may pause that if it gets busy in here. Call early!

Otherwise, you know the drill: Some of this weekend's offerings are below, with the full selection on our website for preorder and pickup tomorrow. We'll be at Barbarossa 9-2, Broadway 9-3, and the Kingston Farmers Market 9-1, and also at the Rhinebeck Farmers Market 10-2 on Sunday.

Thank you, Chronogram community! We’re proud to have brought home FIVE readers choice awards this year, including First Place Barista (Brett!); Second Place for Grilled Cheese and Breakfast Sandwich; and Third Place in both the Bread and Bakery categories. Congratulations to all of the other amazing local businesses who were recognized, as well, including our sister shop Rough Draft; wholesale partners Dry Fly Coffee Co., Montgomery Place Orchard, Hearty Roots Community Farm, Adams Fairacre Farm, and Sunflower Market; friend-of-the-shop Mickey’s Igloo; our go-to local veggie growers, Solid Ground Farm; and our weekend homes away from home, the Kingston and Rhinebeck Farmers Markets. We are honored and humbled to work closely with so many shining examples of what good food in the Hudson Valley can be.

Our hardworking and multitalented team deserves all the credit for these awards, from the bakers mixing the dough to the folks making and serving your food and drinks to the people behind the scenes (and the wheel) getting everything where it needs to go. They really are the best.

Ham in my Pocket

Finally a sunny day and a sunny day sandwich. A new one for the books. We cured this pork from Veritas Farms to make some classic Jambon, paired with some pickles, some Swiss, a little arugula, and sweet and sour mayo to tie it together. This week while supplies last.

It’s baaaack! Our next Falafel Night will be THIS FRIDAY, July 10, in conjunction with the Midtown Business Alliance’s “Summer Scene” Fridays. We’ll be open during the day from 9 to 3 with our normal menu, then the kitchen will fire back up from 4 to 8 for fresh-baked falafel and chicken wraps, loaded fries, and chicken over rice — plus we’ll have beer and cocktail specials, sweet treats, and more.

Field Court will be closed to cars for the evening and we’ll have some outdoor tables set up, or you can chill inside in the A/C. There will be lots of other activities, pop-up vendors, pickleball, and Summer Friday specials going on throughout the neighborhood, as well! Wow, it's hot out there. If you're out and about this weekend, be careful in the sun and make sure you stay hydrated -- and be sure to thank the folks who are working through this holiday heat wave in restaurants, bakeries, delivery vans, and the great outdoors. Our crew members (and our A/Cs!) have been putting in some serious work so far this week, and they deserve all the credit in the world for bringing these delicious foods and refreshing beverages to you, to our markets, and to our wholesale partners today and every day.

Find us tomorrow (Saturday) at the Kingston Farmers Market from 9 to 1, at our retail bakery on Barbarossa Lane from 9 to 2, and at our restaurant / cafe on Broadway from 9 to 3. (You can also find us Sunday at the Rhinebeck Farmers Market from 10 to 2, and Wednesday afternoon at the Woodstock Farm Fest from 3 to 7.)

This weekend we've got lots of Milk Buns for burgers, 100% Whole Wheat Miche for slathering with butter or cheese, and Calabrian Chili Potato Levain for enjoying with your holiday meal. 🥖 That’s When I Reach for My Ricotta 🥖

If you’ve been to the farmers market recently, you know that those garlic scapes are everywhere right now! We blended up some from our friends at Solid Ground Farm into a tasty pesto and slathered it on this week’s special, with speck, whipped ricotta, crunchy potato bits, and arugula on a semolina sesame roll. We’re celebrating PRIDE all month long, and tomorrow marks the long-awaited return of our Rainbow Croissant — this year, stuffed with a vanilla and Fruity-Pebbles mousse. It’s also Father’s Day on Sunday, and we’ve got burger buns for grilling, bagels for brunching, beer and cheese for snacking, and a Bourbon-Maple-Bacon Danish for dads who appreciate the finer, sweet + savory things in life.

Meanwhile, the Knicks fans at the bakery — and for a while there, wasn’t that all of us? — have been riding high since Saturday, and we’re keeping it going this weekend with a special bread: Orange and Blueberry Levain, made with dried blueberries and orange zest, pulp, and juice. We think that hint of citrus and little pops of sweetness round out the sourdough flavors quite well, and we hope this one is a slam dunk! (And speaking of basketball: If you visit our Broadway location tomorrow, you can also get our version of the “Brunson Egg and Cheese!”)
