At Sourdough W***y's Pizzeria, we been caring for and using that same sourdough starter since day one, trying to constantly make the best pizza, bread, and buns we can 🍕🍕🍕

We have participated in some of the best pizza schools around the world including The International School of Pizza in San Francisco, The Roman Pizza Academy in Miami, and the oldest pizza school in Italy, Scuola Italiana Pizzaioli. And, we have traveled extensively throughout Italy learning the various ancient pizza techniques that Italians treasure. It's because we're obsessed with making the best!!

All of our pizza is crafted from a sourdough starter that dates back over 132 years to the Alaskan Klondike, which has earned international recognition, having been featured in the The Quest for Sourdough, and is among the best in the world at the World Heritage Sourdough Library in Belgium (). Meet our Head Chef at Sourdough W***y's! 😁 At just 22 years old, Andrew Myers is an accomplished cook (and former baseball coach!) who takes his role at the helm seriously. After only 5 months as a cook at SDW, we're proud to say Andrew quickly rose the ranks to become our new Head Chef.

While making pizzas, buns, pastas, and salads was a change in pace from Andrew's chops in Mexican cuisine, Andrew makes a point to glean information from all of the staff members to help get him dialed in, and continues to learn advanced techniques and tips from Master Pizzaiolo, Chef W***y.

From his coaching experience, he understands that building a team who is passionate and kind is paramount to running a successful operation, and is proud of how driven SDW staff is. "It's about the experience as a whole," Andrew said, "Not just the food. People travel from all over the country to eat here, and even internationally, from Italy, and our goal is to give them the best dining experience we possibly can. And that starts with the team."
