What a Restaurant Week! To everyone who pulled up a chair, tried something new, brought a friend, or came back for another round—thank you. Meeting so many new faces alongside our familiar favorites has meant the world to Momma and our whole crew.

A huge thank-you to the Downtown Kingsport Association for bringing our downtown together and to ZachBites for helping so many folks find their way to our door. We’re grateful to be part of a community that shows its local businesses so much love.

And to our crew, who kept cooking, serving, washing, and welcoming through one busy week: we see you, and we appreciate you. ❤️

📣 We will be CLOSED Tuesday, October 13, while our team handles a large offsite catering event. We’ll be back OPEN Wednesday morning, October 14!

☀️ GOOD MORNING, KINGSPORT! WE'RE BACK! 💙

After a little unexpected hiccup with our processing system that forced us to close, we're happy to report that everything is back up and running! 🎉

The coffee is brewing, the griddles are hot, and we're ready to get back to doing what we love most — feeding our favorite people!

Momma D's will be OPEN at 8 AM this morning, and we can't wait to welcome y'all back!

Thank you for your patience, understanding, and continued love for our little restaurant. Sometimes technology has other plans, but you can't keep Momma down for long! 💕

October 5–11 is a chance to visit your favorites, discover something new, and enjoy all the delicious things Downtown Kingsport has to offer. From coffee and sweet treats to a table full of good food, make a little time to explore!

Well… this one is pretty darn special. ❤️

A few weeks ago, we had the absolute pleasure of welcoming Zach from ZachBites into Momma D’s

We knew he was coming to eat some food, spend some time with us and get a peek behind the scenes.What we didn’t know was just how beautifully he would tell our story.

He didn’t just film a plate of pancakes. He spent time with us. He talked with Momma. He came into our kitchen. He watched the chaos, the cooking, the laughter and all the little pieces that make this place what it is. And somehow, he managed to capture something that can be really hard for us to put into words.

Momma D’s has always been about more than the food.

It’s about welcoming you through our doors the same way we’d welcome you into our home. It’s about feeding people well, knowing your neighbors, laughing too loudly, working our butts off, and building a place where people feel like they belong.

Zach — thank you. Truly.

Thank you for getting up ridiculously early to spend the morning with us. 😂 Thank you for taking the time to listen to our story instead of simply filming our food. Thank you for treating Momma, me, our team and this little restaurant we've poured so much of ourselves into with such care.

And thank you for choosing Momma D’s to help kick off this new chapter of ZachBites. We are incredibly honored to be part of it, and we cannot wait to watch where you take this style of storytelling next.

A huge thank you as well to Downtown Kingsport Association for continuing to champion the locally owned businesses that make our downtown what it is, and for including us in Restaurant Week. We are darn proud to call Downtown Kingsport home.

We’re kicking off Downtown Kingsport Restaurant Week at Momma D’s. Originally from Portland, Momma D and her daughter Lindsay have made Kingsport home and created a place where they welcome people into their restaurant like they’re welcoming them into their own kitchen. I had an awesome time hanging out with them, getting behind the scenes, and seeing how their breakfast special comes together.

This is also the start of a new style of ZachBites content that I’ve been wanting to do for a while, and I hope y’all enjoy these stories as much as I’ve enjoyed making them.
