A Little History: This unique burger comes from Fitchburg, Massachusetts, where it was made famous at a diner called The Italian Burger. It’s essentially where a cheeseburger and a meatball hero decided to become one—classic Italian-American comfort food in burger form.

We’ll be closed tonight and tomorrow for lunch. Two of my employees have been hurt and will be out for several days, which has left us a little short-handed.

I can work, and I’ll actually be working in the kitchen all weekend to keep things going. But I have plans with my 8-year-old son tonight and tomorrow morning, and I’m not going to bail on him. Those movies I watched growing up where the dad was always at work instead of his kid’s school play apparently gave me a lifelong guilt about that stuff. Lol. I know not everyone has a choice in these situations and I have been there, but I've reached a point in my life where I do have a choice. So I try to make what I feel like is the right choice by my family, what really matters, and put them first.

We WILL be open today for lunch, tomorrow night, and all day Sunday.

Sorry for any inconvenience, and thanks for understanding.

This week's special: The Jersey Burger

A New Jersey diner classic: a beef burger topped with grilled pork roll (Taylor ham), American cheese, and a fried egg, served on a toasted bun.

A Little History: The Jersey Burger takes its inspiration from New Jersey’s famous diner culture and the state’s beloved pork roll. Pork roll was created in 1856 by John Taylor in Trenton, New Jersey, and eventually became a staple of New Jersey breakfasts and diner food. The burger version puts that Jersey favorite right on top of a cheeseburger.

We’ve had a few people ask where our beef comes from, so I just wanted to clear that up.
We only use American beef that is locally sourced, and will never use anything else.
That’s something I care about personally. My family, the Garnetts, were farmers and cattlemen in Montana, so I grew up with a lot of respect for that work.
There are a lot of things restaurants can cut corners on, but beef is not something I want to mess around with.
We’re proud to serve American beef, proud to support cattlemen, and proud to serve it right here in East Tennessee.
That’s where we stand.
