⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Customer Experience!

"Every time we go in there we are constantly being greeted, asked if we need assistance or just a simple hello! The last two times however when we went to get tokens for the Ferris wheel, the team at the checkout station has surprised my daughter with a free ride, and today, not only did she get a free ride, but she wanted to take picture in the big chair! Well there was a little puppy sitting there with a Scheels Bandanna tied around it’s neck. My daughter asked me if she could hold the puppy, and I turned to ask a team member how much it cost, or if it was even for sale?

Without hesitation, he reached down, ripped the tag off and told my daughter that today that puppy was looking for a new home and the puppy was so glad to finally find someone to take it home! We have one happy little girl, who named the puppy Lilly." - SCHEELS Customer, Tony

A new National Park Service report shows that 581,220 visitors to Big Bend National Park in 2021 spent over $53 million in communities near the park. That spending supported 726 jobs in the area and had a cumulative benefit to the West Texas economy of $61 million.

“National parks are a vital part of our nation’s economy, especially for park gateway communities where millions of visitors each year find a place to sleep and eat, hire outfitters and guides, and make use of other local services that help drive a vibrant tourism and outdoor recreation industry,” said Superintendent Bob Krumenaker. “National park tourism is a significant driver in the national economy, returning more than $10 for every $1 invested in the NPS, and it’s a big factor in the West Texas economy as well. We appreciate the partnership and support of our neighbors and are glad to be able to give back by helping to sustain communities in this remote part of Texas.”

Report authors also produce an interactive tool that enables users to explore visitor spending, jobs, labor income, value added, and output effects by sector for national, state, and local economies.
