Hi Everyone,
Hope you all are well.
This will be the last post from Raidas Café and Restaurant from Freddie and Anita.
We write this message with many emotions filling our hearts – because the time has come for us to announce that we are officially closing after all of these wonderful years.
Our journey started in 1989 in a little restaurant named Dynasty on Hwy 17. As the community grew, so did our restaurant, leading us to Hwy 40 in 1993. For close to 15 years, the Dynasty Chinese Restaurant that many of you remember proudly served Camden County. After a two year period of rest, we opened a new venture in 2009 – Raidas Asian Café and Restaurant. At the end of this year of 2021, it will have been 32 years since the beginning of our journey. We believe it is the right time for us to step back and retire.
There have been many customers who have been with us since the first day of Dynasty and even until the last day of Raidas. Having been a part of this community for so many years, it has been a wonderful privilege to watch these generations of families grow. This relationship has extended beyond the walls of the restaurant. Many of you we have grown to love as our friends and family. We will always deeply cherish this.
From looking at our two boys, we have to acknowledge that our age has caught up to us. They too have grown up alongside the restaurant throughout these years. In the blink of an eye, they are adults now. And they remind us every day that it is time for us to retire and enjoy our golden years.
We want to sincerely thank everyone. Thank you very, very much for all of these years of support. Whether you have supported us since Dynasty on Hwy 17 or been with us since the start of Raidas, new and old customers alike – we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
We also wanted to take this opportunity to especially thank and honor an individual, Mr. Rocky Readdick. We consider him our family, and he has been like a brother to Freddie. He has been with us through thick and thin, and always stood by our side to support us and help us. We can never repay you for all the kindness you have shown us through all of these years, but hope to express our deepest gratitude here. Thank you very much, Brother.
Our last opening day for Dynasty/Raidas will be 10/30 (Sat). We wanted to recognize four employees who have been wonderful to us, worked by our side, and with us at Raidas to the very end - Dante, Andrew, Virginia, and Kloe.
