Lavender sugar ๐
This might be one of the prettiest little things Iโve made lately, and itโs incredibly simple.
I started with organic culinary lavender and organic granulated white sugar, pulsing them together just enough to release those beautiful lavender oils and perfume the sugar. The trick is not to over-process it. I still want those tiny lavender buds visible throughout because theyโre far too pretty to disappear.
Then I stirred the lavender sugar into additional organic granulated sugar and spooned it into little glass jars.
Thatโs it. Organic lavender. Organic sugar. Nothing complicated.
Use it to sweeten tea or coffee, sprinkle over shortbread or sugar cookies, rim a lemonade glass, dust over scones, or add a little floral magic to your favorite baked goods.
Simple Lavender Sugar
โข 1โ2 tablespoons organic culinary lavender
โข 1 cup organic granulated white sugar, divided
Pulse the lavender with about ยผ cup of the sugar in a food processor just until fragrant and slightly broken down. You want to release the natural oils while keeping plenty of those beautiful purple buds intact.
Stir into the remaining sugar, transfer to an airtight jar, and let it sit so the lavender can continue infusing the sugar.
And yes, making lavender sugar while Lavender Haze plays in the background was absolutely necessary. ๐
