From c***r pressing and hayrides to handmade goods and local flavors, Columbia County celebrates the harvest this weekend. Fall festivals and markets across the countryside offer opportunities to explore, meet local makers and enjoy the approaching peak colors. ๐
The ๐๐ผ๐น๐๐บ๐ฏ๐ถ๐ฎ ๐๐ผ๐๐ป๐๐ ๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐๐ฒ๐๐ ๐๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ณ๐ ๐๐ฒ๐๐๐ถ๐๐ฎ๐น brings artisans, food vendors and live music to the Columbia County Fairgrounds in Chatham from 10amโ5pm Saturday and Sunday. Presented by the Hudson Berkshire Beverage Trail, the two-day gathering offers crafts and regional beverages alongside a chance to explore what local makers are creating this fall. ๐บ๐ท
Hawthorne Valley Farm's Harvest Festival returns to Ghent from 11amโ3pm Saturday with c***r pressing, hayrides, childrenโs crafts, a marionette performance and the ๐ฅ๐ผ๐ผ๐๐ & ๐ฅ๐ฒ๐น๐ถ๐ฐ๐ ๐ ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ธ๐ฒ๐. Live music and local food accompany the free, rain-or-shine celebration, which also features a biodiversity trail walk and a Creature Parade highlighting the farmโs wildlife. ๐ฟ
Del's Roadside - Kinderhook hosts its Fall Craft Market from 11amโ4pm Saturday, bringing together makers, artisans, bakers and small businesses. Visitors can browse handmade goods and seasonal finds, pick up baked treats and pause for food or ice cream. ๐ฆ
Also on Saturday, Kinderhookโs Village Square hosts the ๐๐ถ๐ป๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ต๐ผ๐ผ๐ธ ๐ ๐ฎ๐ธ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ ๐ ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ธ๐ฒ๐ ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐๐ฎ๐น๐น ๐๐ฒ๐๐๐ถ๐๐ฎ๐น. The day coincides with the final Kinderhook Farmers' Market of the season, open from 8:30amโ12:30pm, offering another opportunity to shop in the village and bring home something from the fall harvest. ๐
Little Apple Cidery in Hillsdale celebrates ๐๐ถ๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐๐ฒ๐๐ this weekend, with its Orchard Bar open from 1pmโ6pm Saturday and Sunday. Saturdayโs festivities include live music, food, an apple-pressing demonstration and games, all set among the orchards. ๐
Autumn in the Park brings a free fall celebration to Taconic State Park- Copake Falls/Rudd Pond from 10amโ3pm Saturday. Pumpkin painting, face painting, yard games, food trucks and wildlife programming give families another reason to spend part of the weekend outdoors as the leaves change. ๐
