Starting Monday, May 18th we will be open on Monday from 11 am until 8 pm. Our regular schedule will be

Sunday 12 pm to 7 pm
Monday 11 am to 8 pm
Tuesday Closed
Wednesday 11 am to 8 pm
Thursday 11 am to 8 pm
Friday 11 am is 9 pm
Saturday 11 am to 9 pm

The kitchen closes and last call for alcohol is 1/2 hour before closing time.

There are times when the .1% just make it trying on a person.

Guy comes in right as we’re closing for the evening. Just 1 drink. Then the drink turns into a cheeseburger too after the kitchen has been cleaned for a half hour. I can deal with that. What I can’t deal with is the attitude of privilege, condescension, and contempt after bending over backwards for someone.

I accommodate the dude. I’m getting his condiments and he walks over and tries to give me a $20 bill. I tell him I don’t want it and I don’t take tips personally. Get him his burger and re-clean the kitchen. I’m in the back room and he comes back and he’s got the tray with a half of the burge and a $100 bill in his hand. . He says, “I’m taking your tray with me this is for the tray,” Dude doesn’t have enough self awareness to realize how insulting this is so not having filters anymore I let him know just how insulting and condescending he is being. He still left the Franklin on the bar so my waitress got a $100 tip from the clown.

I hate when people come here and do things they wouldn’t dream of doing back where they came from. 99.9% of my customers are wonderful people I’m truly blessed to have you here.

Sorry for the rant.

Well, Heck's Bar almost didn't open today.

I was cutting lawn at my home in Pinnebog and I was trimming along side of the road. A man in a beige Chevrolet pickup decided traffic wasn't moving fast enough to suit him and began passing cars in town.

He missed me by less than 2 feet. I felt the air wash from his truck.

The disrespect and condescension from some of the visitors to Huron County this year has reached a new level. My staff and I feel like we're 6 inches tall we've been talked down to so much this summer. Because these visitors feel that there is nobody here that knows them they can do or say things they wouldn't normally do or say back where they come from. Their driving is unhinged. They will pull out in front of oncoming traffic with little or no regard for anyone's safety. Speed limits and stop signs are mere suggestions that don't pertain to them because of some extreme sense of privilege.

You wonder why the some locals don't like downstate people and call you disparaging names. You might need to look no farther than some of your privileged neighbors.

We're going to be closed this Sunday, July 20th for an extra Day of Rest and Relaxation for me and my hard working staff, Ann Orton, Elizabeth Jackson, and Linda Pineau.
