Since its establishment by General George Washington in 1782, the Purple Heart has remained a symbol of courage, sacrifice and unwavering service. Today, we honor every recipient who has borne the cost of defending our nation.

The Department of Veterans Affairs is reviving COVID-era benefits that connected homeless veterans with transportation and phones.

Our military veterans deserve access to well-paying careers. That’s why I joined President Donald J. Trump’s Freedom Haulers Initiative.

This initiative cuts red tape and allows veterans with experience operating large vehicles to earn their CDL more quickly and get to work faster. It’s common sense, these men and women already have the skills and experience needed to safely drive on our nation’s highways. We should remove unnecessary barriers and help them get behind the wheel.

The ACLU has entered the chat … Remember when Chairman of the House Committee on Veterans’ Affairs Mike Bost and Rep. Bergman made the misguided decision to call into investigation the VFW’s accreditation in retaliation of our opposition to TCAVA, specifically Section 108?

Cory L. Geisler was elected VFW commander-in-chief at the 127th National Convention, pledging "One Team. One Mission. Veterans First." while advancing veterans advocacy and membership growth.

TCAVA Update: While we were electing new national leadership yesterday, Sen. Blumenthal and Sen. Moran were squaring off on the Senate floor, each presenting competing motions to pass TCAVA. Both failed. The bottom line remains: NO CUTS. Remove Section 108. Let’s keep up the pressure! Contact Congress now!

Something doesn’t add up.

They are telling veterans this is a great deal.

So why does a bill projected to cost $21 billion rely on approximately $57 billion in projected savings from future veterans’ earned disability compensation?

That’s not protecting veterans.

That’s balancing the books on their backs.

Honor the contract.

🚨 Action Alert: Momentum matters. Congress should not correct one injustice by creating a new one for future veterans. A delayed vote is NOT the finish line. Keep making your voice heard.

Take action TODAY and tell your Representative and both Senators to oppose Section 108 of the Take Care of America's Veterans Act. Urge them to reject this unprecedented pay-for and protect veterans' earned disability compensation.
