*Curbside Bulk Collection Temporarily Suspended*
Reminder to all Killeen residents and businesses-- beginning NEXT week, the City of Killeen will stop all curbside bulk pickup until September 30, 2022.
This is due to an extreme Solid Waste staffing shortage and high turnover in our Solid Waste Department. THIS will be the FINAL week of bulk trash pickup.
***Please know curbside bulk pickup service was NOT free of charge and came at a fee, as residents were charged for each bulk collection.***
*Beginning the week of Monday, May 30, NO additional bags around the container will be collected (that includes NO lawn trimmings)-- only your trash bin will be serviced.
***The City’s Transfer Station (12200 State Highway 195) is still available to residents for up to 300 pounds of bulk trash disposal once a month, free of charge.
*Residents can order an additional container for a monthly charge. Fees are on our website.
***For more information about our Solid Waste division, including the Transfer Station, Recycling Center, new container fees, and holiday trash collection changes, please visit www.KilleenTexas.gov/SolidWaste
*YES, we are hiring in the Solid Waste division. Head to www.KilleenTexas.gov/Jobs to apply.
