Tomorrow isn’t just another soccer match.
Tomorrow, on Juneteenth, history takes the field.
The world’s first Black independent republic, Haiti 🇭🇹, faces Brazil 🇧🇷, the nation with the largest Black population outside of Africa, right here on American soil.
This is bigger than 90 minutes.
For over 220 years, Haiti has carried a story the world too often overlooks. A people who fought for freedom in 1804 against impossible odds. A nation that has endured hardships, stereotypes, and endless criticism, yet has never surrendered its pride.
People see the headlines.
We remember the history.
Tomorrow, the Grenadiers don’t just represent 11 players on a field.
They represent every Haitian who has ever been told we weren’t enough.
Every ancestor who refused to remain enslaved.
Every child who still proudly says,
“Mwen se Ayisyen.”
Whether you’re Haitian, Brazilian, African American, Caribbean, or simply someone who loves the beautiful game…
Come witness history with us.
Let’s celebrate culture.
Let’s celebrate resilience.
Let’s celebrate freedom.
