The Saltbox Café is a charming cottage-style restaurant in the heart of Colington Island. Come on in and meet Chefs/Owners Randolph and Amanda Sprinkle as they prepare for you an array of tasty eats. Our menu focuses on local seafood, fresh meats and vegetables. Enjoy brunch, lunch or dinner inside or dine outside overlooking the lovely Colington Creek. You may also enjoy a cold beer or a glass of wine over an appetizer from our bar. Can't stay and eat? Call-in and you can take-out!

It’s Friday and that means only two days left for the Outer Banks National Soft-Shell week and only two days left to get those votes in!

We have two delicious options this week-

Lunch- cornmeal dusted and served on toasted brioche roll with pickled avocado, cilantro slaw and bacon pepper jam

Dinner- tempura fried and served over a peanut soba bowl (not too spicy…just right!)

Last night’s (4/20) “As Crunchy as it Gets!” Vegan Wine Dinner Event sure was AMAZING!

Our chefs created several dishes using so many different cooking techniques, colorful ingredients and flavors combinations.. making a completely unique and scrumptious plant-based menu.

Get ready for an evening filled with delicious vegan dishes perfectly paired with handpicked wines. Whether you're a wine lover or just curious about plant-based dining, this event promises cool vibes, great plant based flavors, delicious organic and vegan wines, and new friends!
