The Saltbox Café is a charming cottage-style restaurant in the heart of Colington Island. Come on in and meet Chefs/Owners Randolph and Amanda Sprinkle as they prepare for you an array of tasty eats. Our menu focuses on local seafood, fresh meats and vegetables. Enjoy brunch, lunch or dinner inside or dine outside overlooking the lovely Colington Creek. You may also enjoy a cold beer or a glass of wine over an appetizer from our bar. Can't stay and eat? Call-in and you can take-out!

It’s July on the Outer Banks and we know, we know… the roads are crazy, the beaches are packed and reservations are full for days or even weeks out.

We just wanted to remind our awesome customers (locals and visitors alike) our bar (and covered porch) is available to walk-ins AND is full service.

We also have some of the hardest working crew (and cutest) ready to serve you! ☺️

We apologize we haven’t been very active on social media. Summer has been crazy busy and not without its challenges.

We wanted to remind everyone our Crew is taking the Fourth of July off to spend with our family and friends. We will be open the rest of the week with our regular schedule.

Thursday (7/2) lunch/dinner
Friday (7/3) lunch/dinner (Also, shout out a “Happy Birthday, April!!”)
Saturday (7/4) CLOSED all day
Sunday (7/5) brunch
