This weekend looks a little different. ❤️

After everything our island has been through, this feels like one of those times when showing up for each other matters more than ever.

So along with this weekend’s events, we’re sharing opportunities to volunteer, lend a hand, help rebuild, and support the people and businesses working to get back on their feet.

And remember — getting out there matters too. Go to the markets. Eat at the local spots that are open. Show up for the musicians, makers, farmers, food trucks and small businesses if can. Spend local WHEN you can. 🤙

Because rebuilding isn’t just about fixing what the storm damaged. It’s about taking care of our community and each other.

We’ve delved DEEP into the socials to see which local restaurants, food trucks, and grocers are OPEN FOR BUSINESS after Lowell and put a link to ‘em on the homepage of CocoWire.com.

New ones are coming our way pretty regularly so will update the map tomorrow. And don’t forget—check the Insta link if provided b/c that’s how businesses are keeping you up-to-date on temporary hours, menu, and other post storm info.

Our hearts are with everyone dealing with damage, cleanup, power outages and everything else Hurricane Lowell left behind. ❤️

We know many businesses aren’t able to open right now — but we’re also seeing some that are open and ready to serve, and we’d like to help get the word out.

Restaurants, food trucks, farm stands & other food spots: if you’re OPEN, please comment below (or tag someone you know is open). We’ll update CocoWire.com so people can easily see who’s serving.

Hopefully this helps our community find what they need and puts a little business back into the hands of our locals when they could really use it. ❤️🥥

Facebook had A LOT to say about their poke preferences….😅 And I’m thinkin that those in the Insta world might want to have a say in the matter.

So….do you agree with these lists? Or is Facebook way off? 👀🤔

The plan is to feature a ‘best of’ section on the next version of Cocowire.com, so that visitors — and all those non-social-media types — can still tap into the island knowledge that we are lucky enough to know firsthand.

If there’s one lesson learned, it’s that a little wonky weather can’t keep Kauaʻi down! 💪
And apparently Mother Nature’s feeling feisty again this weekend. 👀

Rain or shine, the weekend is lined up alllll types of entertainment. So get out there while the gettin’s good, support local, have some fun—and maybe keep one eye on the forecast. 😅💯
