To whoever ordered the “extra wet roadwork”… your order has officially been fulfilled. 😅🌧️

Meanwhile, these road crews are out there working in 91% humidity, pouring rain, and enough mud to make a pig jealous. 🐷💪

The good news? We’re in the home stretch! 🎉 Every shovel, every roller, and every soaked pair of work boots is getting us one step closer to having our road back.

A huge THANK YOU to the crews who keep showing up no matter what Mother Nature throws at them. ❤️ We know they’re working hard so our South Kihei businesses can get back to normal and hopefully prevent any more businesses from closing due to this sinkhole disaster.

When this road finally opens, we’re throwing the world’s biggest “WE SURVIVED THE SINKHOLE” celebration! 🌮🍹🍺

🚧 Sinkhole Update – There’s Finally Some Progress!

After months of waiting, it’s encouraging to finally see some movement on the South Kīhei Road sinkhole repairs. We know everyone is ready to have this road fully reopened, and we’re hopeful we’re getting closer.

This road closure has taken a real toll on the businesses along Kamaole Beaches I, II, and III. Over the past few months, we’ve had to say goodbye to some of our neighbors and friends, including Subway and Aloha Discount Liquors. Seeing businesses close their doors is heartbreaking.

If you’re visiting South Maui or live here, we have one favor to ask: please continue supporting the small businesses along this stretch of South Kīhei Road. Every meal, drink, purchase, review, and share truly makes a difference. Many local businesses are still here because of this amazing community.

We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who has continued to support us and all of our neighboring businesses during this challenging time. Let’s help the businesses around Kamaole Beaches 1–3 stay strong until the road is fully open again.
