Our small restaurant quickly became a favorite with locals and tourists alike, with our family-friendly atmosphere, custom surfboard tables, exceptional food, healthy food choices, and aloha culture. In 2013, Coconut's Fish Cafe opened in Scottsdale and has experienced the same success as our Maui location, success driven by the loyal patronage of the Coconut's family. Since Coconut's Fish Cafe opened, we have received numerous accolades. In 2013, Zagat awarded us a '27' for food, the highest tier reserved for "Extraordinary to Perfection." Also in 2013, we were featured in Travel + Leisure magazine in its list of "Top 100 Places to Eat Like A Local," and CNN's list of "Top 10 Places to Eat Like a Local" and their "Top 100 Seafood Restaurants in The World." Today, we are proud that both the Maui and Scottsdale locations have organically received 4.5+ star ratings on Yelp and on TripAdvisor.

meet Mark Mattos - our new director of operations! 🌞

born and raised in wailuku, Mark is a fourth-generation maui resident with more than 15 years of hospitality experience - and a career built right here on the island.
a graduate of UH maui college’s culinary arts and pastry arts programs, Mark worked his way from cook to executive chef, building his career in some of maui’s best-known kitchens along the way.

now, he’s bringing that experience to coconuts.

for Mark, great hospitality comes down to the people behind it: building strong teams, paying attention to the details, and creating an experience that keeps guests coming back.

and he’s already getting back into the kitchen 👀 Mark is working on new menu items that build on the coconuts flavors you know and love - with even more to come.

we’re stoked to have a maui-raised leader helping guide the next chapter of coconuts fish cafe!
