Today I’d like to honor and remember my father Gust Calamunci an incredible husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was the kind of man who set an example for all of us, a true role model whose strength, kindness, and integrity shaped our family and everyone blessed to know him.
His life was the story of the American dream. As an Italian American, he built a life rooted in hard work, love, and perseverance. How fitting that he left us during Italian American Heritage Month—a reminder of the legacy and pride he carried with him throughout his 91 years.
He lived a full and wonderful life, and I was lucky to have him for so long. And yet, no matter how many years we had, it never feels like enough. The love I had for him runs so deep that his loss leaves a hurt I will carry with me.
But alongside that pain, I will always hold the joy and gratitude of having shared in his remarkable life. His memory, his stories, his lessons, and the love he poured into our family will live with me—and with all of us—forever.
Dad, I love you. Thank you for everything.❤️❤️
