Every Thursday evening, beginning at 5pm, Chef John Baker presents special three-course dinners. The menus are chosen to fit a theme chosen for each month, and include many European and Regional American items. Recent themes have included German Nights, March Madness, and Keeping the Winter Warm.

I have retired, and no longer work at Christopher's. The restaurant is still open, but Thursday Themes is no longer offered. I have tried to delete this page without success for more than a year, without success.

I am still grateful for the success we had! We had some fun, and the food was pretty good too. ;)

Hello to all my Thursday Themes guests!

It is with some sorrow that I inform readers and friends that Thursday Themes has been discontinued for the foreseeable future, due to weakness associated with my medical adventure.

When I return to a semblance of strength and endurance, I will resume cooking at the level we've all become accustomed to. Aloha.

I will continue to cook for various charitable events that I love. Soon, the Knights of Columbus Fish Fry Friday, January 24 at Bainbridge Hall near The District downtown. Another is the Doors of Compassion for the Ronald McDonald House, coming in the spring.

Great charity events worthy of your interest.

We wish everybody a Happy Thanksgiving! Visit us Thursday, November 30 for the Pork Rouladen dinner. Cutlets of pork loin, hand sliced, rolled with Bratwurst stuffing and braised in beer, making an excellent pan gravy. Smoked Salmon Potato Pancakes for appetizer, Cream Puffs for dessert! 5pm until 830pm or so, Thursday, 11/30/18.

Anyway, here are the glorious Black Forest Cherry Tortes Pat made today for the Sauerbraten dinner. In progress, and finished, ready to cut. Not just a picture in a magazine, but a picture on the cover of the magazine. The guests loved them! Thanks Pat!

Hello! I just procured two rabbits to prepare for the Hasenpfeffer on Thursday 10/20. I have three orders to offer along with this week's Schnitzels.

I'm lookng forward to the fish dinner this Thursday 10/13. Red snapper fillets done in Hamburg style with potatoes, shallots, and whte wine. One of my grandmother's kuchens for dessert. I'll try again to post some pics!
