This Saturday, July 11th from 9am-3pm, the Kernville Chamber of Commerce will be holding their monthly Summer Festival in Circle Park!
Go check out all the awesome vendors, listen to some live music, and then stop by Something Sweeter for a sweet treat! Show us something you bought from one of the local vendors and receive $1.00 off your purchase with us! This special is good on Saturday only!

Hope everyone had an amazing Fourth of July weekend celebrating America’s 250th birthday!
Something Sweeter is so grateful that we got to serve all of you all weekend! We apologize to anyone who may have came into the shop yesterday afternoon and saw that we didn’t have hardly any options left to serve and chose to go somewhere else! We understand wanting a specific flavor and finding out we don’t have it! We are super sad about it as well!
With the size of our shop, we don’t have the freezer space to hold more than 4 or 5 3gallon tubs of each flavor (that’s roughly 60 tubs of ice cream😳😬)! We packed our freezers before the weekend and it still wasn’t enough to get us through! There unfortunately aren’t any places in Bakersfield that carry all of our flavors, so we are Stuck Like Chuck until our next delivery comes in on Wednesday afternoon!

We are so sorry for the inconvenience and wish we didn’t have to close! We hope everyone understands! We want to make sure you get the flavor you want when you come in to our shop!

Thank you all for continuing to support our small business! We look forward to reopening Wednesday afternoon, July 8th!

🇺🇸🎇🧨🎉💥Something Sweeter will have special hours on the 4th of July, contrary to most Kernville businesses but only closing 2 hours early, due to not wanting any of our girls to miss out on watching fireworks with family!
We would love to stay open the extra 2 hours because it is one of our biggest weekends of the year, but we also know how much it means to us and our girls that they get the opportunity to spend time with family and create memories that will last a lifetime!
Something Sweeter is one of our top priorities, but FAMILY and quality time is the most important of all, more than 2 hours of sales profits on a busy holiday weekend!

We apologize and hope everyone understands!

Something Sweeter will be CLOSED Tuesday and Wednesday June 23rd & 24th due to road construction going on in Kernville. We will be open again and fully restocked with ice cream Thursday June 25th from 12pm-8pm!

We apologize to everyone who has been coming in wanting frozen yogurt as our machine is down again due to a loud noise the motor is making. As soon as we find someone willing to work on it we will try to get it up and running as soon as we can!

Memorial weekend is finally here! This weekend is the kickoff to Summer for Kernville! Something Sweeter will be open through Monday! AND starting next weekend we will be back open 7 days a week!
This Sunday we will be open until 9pm & Memorial Day we will be open 11:00am - 8:00pm.
We hope everyone has a safe and fun weekend kicking off Summer in the KRV!
