Rob Kennedy meant a lot to all of us at Davis IGA, and we want to take a moment to recognize what he gave to this store and to our community.
Rob dedicated more than 30 years here, and that kind of loyalty and commitment is rare. He showed up, he worked hard, and he treated us all like we mattered-because he was kind and gentle to everyone. What we’ll remember most isn’t only the years he put in; it’s the way he made us feel while he was here.
Rob’s presence was loved everywhere in Kent. He was the kind of person customers and coworkers would always smile upon his arrival. He brought kindness, humor, and a real sense of familiarity that made the store feel like more than just a place to shop or work—it was a hometown feel.
Many of us have personal memories of Rob, and those stories all share the same theme: he cared. He cared about people, he cared about animals, and he cared about the small, everyday moments that often matter the most.
Rob, thank you for everything you gave to our community, and to all of us who were lucky enough to know you. You’ll be deeply missed, and you’ll always be a part of this store’s history and heart. We are all so grateful for the life you lived ♥️
