It sure has been a long run from 1983 to now. When I take a moment to really think hard about all I have seen from my vantage point behind the counter downtown on the main square of Kent, well, it is simply overwhelming. Literally, the number of customers served, exceeding at a guess, a million, is mind boggling. When considering that we have served to three generations of local p
atrons, I can’t help but to think about how I could not ever have really expected such an outcome on that day when the doors were unlocked for the first time and “The Deli” opened for business.
