What is going on?
I CAN NOT condone the violent protests!!!!
People, please hold peaceful protests.
Stop the violence!
It has sadden me to view the video’s in Minneapolis & all over our country.
I’ve watched with disgust at all the officers involved.
Everyone present was WRONG!
Police officers are trained in de-escalation.
But some intentionally escalate situations.
As a former law enforcement officer, I had the opportunity to work with some great people.
Most officers have served with respect, courageously while upholding their promise or oath to Protect & Serve.
Sadly, I’ve worked with some questionable individuals, as well.
Believe me, they know who they are.
Today, I still wonder how they’ve lasted in a position, originally guarded and preserved by duty & honor, with the premise of Protecting to serve....the Public!
And not to forget....to be TRUTHFUL!
I’ve watched some of these same people loose their minds even further, after receiving promotions and surrounding themselves with individuals who have the same ideology.
This creates a hostile work environment for the GOOD officers, who ultimately would like to do the RIGHT thing; by being FAIR to all individuals!
Not judging them by the color of their skin, religious preference and so forth.
Respect people and I guarantee they will return respect.
I’ve seen it!
I’ve experienced it.
Small towns? Big cities?
I’ve seen it!
Every police department is different.
But it’s basic principles, are undoubtedly THE SAME.
I’ve witnessed some officers, who did not fit into a particular group, being shunned & labeled an outcast.....Just for trying to be fair, respectful & truthful.
Their behavior, sometimes referred to as abnormal, are later forced to vacate their position due to the overwhelming amount of pressure.
I know, I’ve seen it!
Thus, making room for another recruit, who may be negatively influenced & trained by all the duds.
Smh
Once again, those Minneapolis Police Officers WERE WRONG & absolutely guilty & complicit of failing to intervene.
Maybe some were afraid of the repercussions if they did so?
I don’t know!
But I do know, that their careers in law enforcement are OVER!
But it shouldn’t stop with those four officers.
I believe its leadership should garner some responsibility for their actions as well.
I would like to thank all the police officers who have dedicated their entire careers to make a positive difference in our communities.
Continue to be fair, but be vigilant of the bad.
Get rid of the DUDS!
