For you grilled cheese lovers we stopped in Montrose Colorado at Rays Corner Cafe and enjoyed a Red Pepper Pesto sandwich with mozzarella. Technically it wasn't a grilled cheese but it was a great combo of ingredients. I loved it.

We had a great time at the Wisconsin Grilled Cheese Competition today. Team Oh Jeez Grilled Cheese won several trophies. The big winner in today's competition is my daughter Elisia Chavez . She won five trophies and kicked ass in the Professional Division including mine. Elisia and Taylor took the best of show with the help of their Banana Custard grilled cheese desert Sandwich. I tell you I couldn't be any prouder and no I did not let her win. I would like to say that Taylor is a great friend of Elisa and a perfect assistant chef. Taylor made all of their bread for the competition!

Our team also received second place in the first heat of the pro classic. Way to go Elisia!
