I am still in shock that we lost such a wonderful friend. Matt was the kind of person who made everyone feel loved. When he gave you a hug, it wasn’t just a hug—it was full of warmth, strength, and genuine care. He hugged with his whole heart, like a big teddy bear, and you could feel how much he cared about you.
Matt had been my neighbor since I was in middle school, and we worked together for so many years. Over the years, our friendship grew through countless memories, conversations, and laughs. When he married Patty and she started doing my nails, I got to spend even more time with them. We talked about everything and anything. We would go back and forth arguing our points—“No, it’s this way.” “No, it’s that way.” “You’re right.” “No, I’m right.” Then one of us would say, “Look it up on the internet!” only to find out I WAS RIGHT all along. Jk lol. Those conversations, those laughs, and those little moments are memories I will cherish forever, and I am definitely going to miss them.
I will miss his smile, his stories, and the way he could make any room feel lighter just by being in it. I’ll miss the way he’d walk up, wrap me in one of those big hugs, and say, “Hi, sweetie.” Those simple moments meant more than words can express.
Matt was loved by so many people, and he will be missed beyond words. The impact he made on all of our lives will never be forgotten.
During this incredibly difficult time, if you are able to help Patty and her children with a donation, it would be deeply appreciated. Matt and Patty are the kind of people who would do absolutely anything for anyone. They have always shown kindness, generosity, and love to those around them. Now it’s our turn to help support Patty and her family as they navigate this heartbreaking loss.
Please keep Patty, her children, and all who loved Matt in your thoughts and prayers. Matt, you were loved by so many, and you will be missed more than words could ever say. ❤️
