From a w**emaking kit to a Spokane w**ery...

Barrister Winery’s story began long before there was a tasting room or a bottle bearing the Barrister name. Founders Greg Lipsker and Michael White were Spokane attorneys when a five-gallon w**emaking kit sparked what would become a much bigger passion.

What started as a small experiment grew into making w**e in Greg’s garage, working with larger quantities of Washington grapes and eventually entering their w**es into competition. After earning several medals for those early efforts, Greg and Michael realized they had created something worth pursuing. Barrister Winery officially followed in 2001.

More than two decades later, Barrister has become part of Spokane’s w**e community, which is one of the reasons we’re so excited to bring their w**es to the table at Boiada.

Our Winemaker’s Dinner series is an opportunity to create partnerships with w**eries we admire and explore what happens when two different traditions meet at the table. For this dinner, we’ve paired four Barrister w**es with four selections from our Brazilian churrasco:

Barrister Blanc de Blanc with Chicken Wrapped in Bacon
Barrister Rough Justice with Fraldinha
Barrister Petit Verdot with Ribeye
Barrister Carménère with Picanha

Each pairing was selected to showcase both the w**e and the churrasco, and together they create an entirely different way to experience Boiada.

Everyone deserves to be celebrated. ❤️🎉

Some birthdays are simply unforgettable.
