Unfortunately, Mother Nature had other plans for today’s Kennett Jaycees Golf Tournament. After heavy rain moved in just before tee time, we made the difficult decision to cancel the tournament for the safety of everyone involved.

We want to sincerely thank all of our golfers, sponsors, volunteers, and everyone who came out to support the event. We know many of you had already arrived and were ready to hit the course, and we truly appreciate your understanding and continued support of the Kennett Jaycees.

We are already working on a new date and will share those details as soon as they’re finalized.

What an incredible year at the Kennett Jaycees BBQ Cookoff!

We want to send a huge THANK YOU to all of the competitors, teams, judges, vendors, volunteers, sponsors, and everyone who came out to support this year’s event. We especially want to thank both Steak Cookoff Association and Kansas City Barbeque Society for helping make this event such a success.

From the smoke rolling all weekend to the friendships made around the pits, this year was one to remember. We truly appreciate every team that traveled to Kennett and spent the weekend with us. Your support, hard work, and passion for BBQ are what keep this tradition alive year after year.

First and foremost, HAPPY MOTHERS DAY from the Kennett Jaycees ‼️

With that said the dust has settled, the checks have been wrote, and the trophies passed out. We had a 72 car Demolition Derby right here in the little bootheel of Missouri. WOW. It is without a doubt that we have some of the most talented drivers in a concentrated area bar none. I would beg to differ with anyone who says otherwise. These guys show out every-time not just here and there. In years past I’ve heard every reason in the book as to why people don’t come from afar to run this show. From the excuses as “the Missouri guys won’t let someone from out of town win” or “those guys drive to aggressive over there”. In my mind it’s simple. WE SET THE BAR. Get in where you fit in. We’ll still be here with one of the biggest, hardest hitting shows around. If you think you’re bad, this is the place to prove it. Until next year. We’ll be waiting😎
