Fireworks at dark and live music here at tbt. We’re doing our usual free hot dogs after the parade. . July 4 is a Saturday this year so get here early!

The 2026 Kentucky Derby (the 152nd running) is on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at Churchill Downs in Louisville, Kentucky.

Gates open: :00 a.m.
First race: 10:00 a.m.
Kentucky Derby post time (the main race, Race 12): Approximately 5:57 p.m. (this is the traditional "Run for the Roses" start time)
T-Bone Tom will have the races on.
The Derby Hat contests are around 5 pm. Get here early.

TV coverage of the Derby on Tbone Toms tv airs on our tvs from about 2:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Live music by Lightning Rob at 7pm.

This Saturday join us watching the Kentucky Derby, America's premier horserace. Wear your Derby Hat, have a Mint Julep, have a great meal and enjoy the race. Mens and women's best Derby hat contest about 5pm. All badge wearing Parrotheads receive a free Mint Julep before the race. Live Music by Lighting Rob at 7pm....We will have the undercard races on after lunch..
