Kitchen 61 Hot meals are now served Monday–Friday from 4:00–6:00 p.m. Pre-order your meals — and don't forget to grab a dessert or fresh-baked treat too!

For many years, I operated a take-and-go restaurant where I prepared meals that were made-from-scratch. The entrees differed from day to day, and week to week, just like they would in your own home. I also catered events ranging from small boardroom meetings and get-togethers; to larger events, such as rehearsal dinners for weddings, birthday parties, and corporate holiday parties. en events, I closed my storefront in early 2022. You can now find me at the Cape Riverfront Market on Saturdays from 8 am till noon. I'm offering artisan sourdough bread, Liege Belgian waffles with pearl sugar, a variety of dry mixes, seasoning blends, and dip mixes. One day, I will reopen my catering business. Until then, I will offer limited products under the Missouri Cottage Food Law. This allows me to sell shelf-stable food products using my home kitchen. As a disclaimer, my food products and kitchen are not subject to routine government food safety inspections.

Our menu for the week has been published. We have some classics like Chicken Poppyseed, Meatloaf with Mashed Potatoes, Sausage with Potatoes, Cabbage, and Green Beans, Mexican Chicken, and Gulf Shrimp Linguine. Our dessert is Chocolate Chip Cookies.

Bruce will be at the Chaffee Downtown Farmer’s Market on Wednesday. He’ll have Pulled Pork, Mac and Cheese, Baked Beans, and Vinegar-based Slaw. I’m hoping to bake some 8 x 8 cakes to have available too.

We'll be at the Chaffee Downtown Farmer’s Market on Wednesday with some great BBQ and sides. I'll post what we'll have soon.

Help us decide what to make for our first Wednesday at the market.

We are excited to introduce Kitchen 61, owned by Karen and Bruce Beggs, to our market community this Wednesday. Having had the pleasure of knowing them as neighbors, I can vouch for their culinary expertise. To help us better serve you, please participate in our survey by suggesting your preferred menu options. For the main course, would you prefer ribs or pulled pork? Should we offer pint or quart sizes? For sides, which of the following would you like: mac and cheese, baked beans, pasta salad, or coleslaw (with mayo or vinegar)?
