We're so proud, our delicious coffee won 6th place statewide among 85 entries in the Hawaii Coffee Association Cupping Competition 2016. We were the only coffee in the top ten from our east Hawaii District in the Commercial Division. Other top ten finishers were from Kona, Maui, Kauai and Ka'u.

Today's harvest includes this big pile of Hawaiian cacao. NOW turning it into a chocolate bar ....hmmm.

This two year old tree was planted by Paul's son Lyle in 2014. It's thriving and producing beautiful red beans already.

This is the final drying facility where the beans rest for about a month until they reach a moisture content below 11%. At that stage, the beans are bagged and ready to be milled, roasted and sold for your delicious cup of Hawaiian coffee.

Picking the coffee is part of the job. The coffee cherries need to be pulped, washed and dried. This is the initial drying area were the wet beans stay for a couple of weeks.
