Dear Friends! In spite of the rainy weather yesterday, things were pretty busy at Sticky Fingers Delectables--so busy, in fact, that I've had to come in to try and replenish some of our soups which were almost completely sold out by business close on Sunday. So today we have Butternut Squash Soup and our Rosemary Umbrian Lentil Stew for purchase. Listen: with a buttery Beach Lake Bakery dinner roll (or two!), a perfect dinner awaits you later today without you having to lift a finger or mess up some pots and pans! Sticky Fingers is open today until 6:30 PM or even a smidgen later if foot traffic warrants. Ice cream is, of course, as always ALWAYS in stock. Thank you and Be Well!

Hello Friends! It has come to my attention that our White Chicken Chili was prepared this week with some incompletely cooked beans ... which might cause someone consuming the soup some rumbling & tumbling "down under." Please bring any White Chicken Chili you purchased back in for an exchange or refund or give me (James) a call at 845.475.8900 if that isn't possible. Our sincere apologies for any inconvenience. We are open both Sunday and Monday starting at noon. Thank you!

Over at Sticky Fingers Delectables we've been busy preparing scrumptious soups and stews for you this long weekend--please see the above Weekender Menu! Our White Chicken Chili (with sumptuous white cheese sauce) was made on Friday morning and the Turkish Cabbage Roll Stew (a hot customer fave) Friday evening last. I'm in the shop early Saturday getting our goopy Butternut Squash Soup ready--it generally sells off faster than any other kind of vegetarian or vegan soup that we make. Don't hesitate if you have had it before and love it--beetle on over Saturday to scoop some up before it sells out. And for dessert? Of course we have lots and lots of delicious ice cream.

We'll be open all three days of the long weekend:
Saturday from 12:00 - 7:30 PM
Sunday from 12:00 - 7:30 PM
Monday from 1:00 - 6:00 PM.

Last week a customer came in and pointed out that I hadn't made any chicken-based soup or stew yet this season. So today, I've cooked up a big batch of a customer all-time fave: Nova Scotian Chicken Mulligatawny! Many of you who have tasted it in the past swear it is one of the best soups you have ever had. It is (I grant you) pretty ravishing: the tender poached chicken nuggets, the creamy curry sauce, the delightfully tart, bite-sized cubes of Golden Delicious apples, the fragrant basmati rice all go together so well. My goodness, it's so good I have sometimes had it for breakfast! -- Never had it? Well then, Folks, it's time. It's truly, truly TIME.

Bustle on over for our other soups, too--perfect for freezing or a delicious lunch or dinner. And, of course, we still have LOTS of ice creams for dessert. See you soon, and thank you!

What-oh-what's for your lunch (or dinner) this wind-swept day? Sticky Fingers Delectables may just have the answer. The past few days we have been fairly swamped with people returning for MORE of our delicious "Vegan Pumpkin Curried Lentil Stew." This morning I got up early to whip up another 18 quart batch of it. Many of you know its powers: it'll raise your spirits and drive away all symptoms of drearyness or boredom! Hurry on over today before 6:30 PM or it will sell out under your very nose. On the shelves we also have French Canadian Split Pea Soup (with pork), Butternut Squash Soup (vegan), Curried Corn Chowder (vegan), and our #1 rated soup: Classic Beef Chili. Plus about 20 ice creams for dessert ...

This coming Sunday, August 30th my friend and New York actor extraordinaire Joe Forbrich will be doing a live read of his new play, "Water Always Wins" at the Club at Smallwood! Joe is an absolute gem, an astounding talent and unique creative. He is also one heck of a carpenter (I can highly recommend his services). Please come out and attend what promises to be a great evening in Smallwood, New York!

Tonight's the night!

To help celebrate our 250th, Sticky Fingers Delectables has invited two longtime friends of the business to come in and sing from the American songbook tonight: Debbie Fisher and Paul Kean. Their concert begins under the Sticky Fingers Pavilion at 6:30 pm and will end around 8:30 pm, leaving every body far and wide time enough to indulge in some of Sullivan County and New York State's best ice creams until the Town of Bethel's "4th of July Fireworks" begin (around dusk).

We invite you herewith to attend this impromptu Birthday Party for America! Please bring your family, your loved-ones, your friends, your neighbors. The event promises to be a beautiful and memorable evening of song, celebration and ice creams!
