For more than 60 years, our family’s business has been so much more than a business. It was Dad’s life’s work — built through hard work, sacrifice, relationships, and a genuine love for this community.
What began with the grocery store, meat market, and deer processing grew over the years, with the BBQ restaurant becoming another special part of his story 11 years ago.
Since losing Dad last year, every decision we’ve made has come back to one thing: How do we honor him and protect the legacy he worked his entire life to build?
With that in mind, we’ve made the decision to entrust the BBQ restaurant to longtime family friends who knew and loved Dad, understood how much this place meant to him, and who we trust to carry his legacy forward with the time and attention it deserves.
For me, this next chapter means focusing my heart and energy on the meat market and deer processing — where Dad’s 60+ year legacy began. Carrying that forward is something I’m incredibly proud and honored to do.
This isn’t an ending. It’s simply the next chapter of something he built to last. ❤️
