Every once in a while, a message reminds us exactly why we do what we do.

A huge thank you to Terry for taking the time to share such kind words with us. Hearing that our Athens-style pitas brought back memories of living in Cyprus and that our Detroit touches felt like home truly means the world to us.

At Pappa Gyros, our goal has always been simple: bring authentic hometown flavors from the places we love to our new hometown of Katy, Texas. Whether it’s the taste of Greece, a classic Detroit favorite, or just a meal that reminds you of home, that’s the experience we strive to create every single day.

Houston's Greek dining runs deeper than most realize, with longtime gyro counters now joined by chef-led newcomers and second locations. Beyond the meat-filled pitas, kitchens are plating horiatiki salads, pastitsio, and feta-laden cheese pies, then pouring wines from across Greece's regions and cold Greek beer. Pappa Gyros in Katy, run by Christos Bastios, even started in a gas station before earning a spot on The Texas Bucket List. 🇬🇷
