t, Yelo opened at its current Katy Asian Town location in early 2021, next door to Au-Yeung’s critically acclaimed Malaysian restaurant, Phat Eatery. The color yellow inspires, uplifts and illuminates, which Yelo’s menu reflects, full of inviting, hand-crafted dishes inspired by beloved street foods that Au-Yeung enjoyed growing up in the multicultural city of Hong Kong. Eschewing the strict parameters of “authentic cooking,” Au-Yeung shows respect for traditional regional techniques while adding his own creative flourishes to comfort food favorites.

In case you missed it, is taking over the Yelo space and we’re so excited for what’s next. Many of your favorite bites will be migrating to the Phat Eatery menu so stay tuned 🎉

Yelo fam, first off, we wanted to say thank you for your support this last year and beyond. It has been such an honor being able to share dishes that mean so much to us with all of you. It's true-- we will be closing Sept. 4. Demand for our sister restaurant, Phat Eatery, continues to grow so we will be taking over the Yelo space to build a bigger and better restaurant! However, your favorites like the pan fried dumplings and the One Noodle Beef Noodle Soup will live on on the Phat menu 🎉.

It'll be tough to see Yelo go, but we have exciting things in store. Including more space to serve you as well as a brand new full bar focused on Asian inspired cocktails to come. Our entire Yelo team will be joining us at Phat Eatery and we're all excited to welcome you back to the brand new space very soon.

Our last day of service as Yelo will be Sept. 4! Stay tuned for more updates to come.
