This morning I had an egg, cheese and hash brown breakfast sandwich with added bacon. Then I had the turnip, cannellini bean and miso soup. This soup could bring about world peace if everyone had it at the same time. Then I tried the new salad with radish and mint. Wow. And a snowball cookie for dessert. Johnny and Helen Jo also came to my show at the Belger Crane Yard and bought one of my cat jars for display at Dear Donna. I am very honored.

I got to meet the new owners of the restaurant formally known as "Happy Gillis", James Beard-nominated Executive Chef Johnny Leach and Executive Pastry Chef Helen Jo Leach. What lovely people. They have some great plans for their new restaurant, 10am-4pm, four days a week to start out with. They are looking to open February 2026. I can't wait to be their first customer.
