LET’S GOOO!! This is great news!!
Legislative Update for Mobile Food Units – Independence, Jackson County & Kansas City, MO 🚨
Big things are happening — and this directly impacts our food truck and mobile food entrepreneurs.
The Ennovation Center has been working alongside Senator Joe Nicola on SB 1255 – Mobile Food Unit Licensing Reform. This legislation would allow a Jackson County-issued mobile food permit to be recognized across municipalities within the county — reducing duplicative inspections and fees while maintaining public health standards.
👉 Why does this matter?
Right now, some mobile food operators face multiple inspections across different health departments — costing time, money, and momentum. This bill helps remove unnecessary barriers so our food entrepreneurs can grow, scale, and serve more communities.
Today, our Executive Director, Danielle DuPree, is at the Missouri State Capitol advocating for YOU.
The Ennovation Center helped get this effort started — but now it’s time for mobile food unit owners across Missouri to step up.
