We live in strange times. Our response to this happens to be beer. Drink adventurously. Strange Days Brewing Co.

was created and inspired by the strange-ness around us. The name is meant to capture the times we are living in. Beer is an outlet for us and the beer community is a great escape from all the other “stuff” going on. We will be moving into 316 Oak Street, Kansas City, MO within KC’s River Market, a high-traffic and energetic portion of the city. The addition of the street car and the development happening all over the River Market is really exciting. Also, we get a lot of inspiration for our beer from global cuisine, so the diversity of the neighborhood and proximity to city market is a huge creative spark. There’s a lot of history in our building as it previously housed (a portion of) the historic Muehlebach Brewery & Schlitz, so we feel like we are oozing with inspiration. Our beers are globally focused, which for us is twofold. We plan to brew and serve a variety of traditional global styles but will also create new styles/flavors with both local & global spices, fruit etc. Our lineup will be rotating regularly and will contain wide variety of flavors/styles.

DAILY AFFIRMATION 7.4% Hazy Pale Ale with Citra, Riwaka, Rakau, Motueka, Citra cryo, Incognito, and Abstrax hops
Daily Affirmation merges the punchy, spicy lemon-lime zest of Motueka with the deep, tropical passionfruit and ripe mango notes of Citra and Riwaka. This vibrant straw-colored pour releases an explosive aroma of fresh peach, apricot, and crushed lime freshness. On the palate, a soft, pillowy mouthfeel carries these intense fruit flavors. This b**r finishes hyper-clean and juice-forward, leaving behind a saturated tropical oil sweetness.

The taproom is open 6:30am-5pm and Burn Theory will be open 12-5pm for food.

Our GABF submissions this year!
Pouring now in the taproom 🍺

Starting off strong with Splendid Defending English Brown Ale which won gold in the Great American B**r Festival last year!
We have also submitted Tekkers, our English Pub Ale which has become a soccer watching staple in the taproom. This is a fresh batch of a recipe we have really been dialing in.
Muddblood is back by popular demand! It’s a Brown Ale with coffee, made with beans from local coffee shop, Oddly Correct.
Last, we submitted Citra Centric which is a West Coast Style Pilsner. It has citra hops 4 ways, so it’s light yet hoppy, super flavorful, and citrusy.
