Great News!

Congratulations to Stefari Café for being named the 2017 New Business of the Year. New to Kankakee County, Stefari Café has joined other Kankakee downtown businesses such as Grapes & Hops and Papi’s Pizza, in creating an appealing ambiance for downtown visitors. Owners Stefan and Ari Frunze are young creative professionals who seized the opportunity of an open space to create a hip coffee shop and café in downtown Kankakee’s Arts and Entertainment District. The couple is committed to providing a fresh menu with selections that aren’t found anywhere else in the county and creating unique partnerships with other local businesses to accomplish that goal. Though they are new business owners, they have established a lasting brand in just a few months. Stefari café has become the day-time hangout for college students and professionals, creating a casual place to congregate in downtown Kankakee. We invite the public and our members to help celebrate this new business for their initial success at an annual dinner on Wednesday, Dec. 6 at the Hilton Garden Inn and Riverstone Conference Center from 5:30 to 7:30 pm.
