Never forget that.

I started Georgiโ€™s Goodies while struggling in the darkness of depression and at the time I had a lot of suicidal thoughts. Baking helped me find a purpose and bring me back from the depths of despair.

I also had help from Queenโ€™s med Intensive Outpatient behavioral health program. If you or someone you know needs help, please reach out. There is also #988 on your cell phone if you need to talk or find other resources.

My son and business partner Joey is not having fun this week. Heโ€™s undergoing a 3 night EEG study to find out whatโ€™s going on.

Itโ€™s been a difficult nine months of meds, doctors, and tests, after his initial seizure episodes (2 in one night). The medicine that was supposed to stop the seizures only made his anxiety, depression, and suicidal ideations worse - like gasoline on a fire.

We are fairly sure now that his panic attacks were instead breakthrough seizures. He even has them in his sleep. Joey completely blacks out during an episode and gets confused and wiped out, but he still works hard with me in the kitchen and at the market.

We are super grateful for Hawaii Pacific Neuroscience for their EXCELLENT care!! The doctors are so knowledgeable, the staff is kind and professional, and their facility is great. We are in good hands.๐Ÿ’œ

All this to say that things are a little rough right now for us here at Georgiโ€™s Goodies, but we are trekking on best we can!

We will be there every Sunday at Windward Mall Farmers Market, 10-2pm center court. For the remainder of the year we will be pulling back on other larger events as they are too stressful for our little team.

We truly and sincerely appreciate each and every one of you who continue to support us by buying our Bundts and banana bread. We will get through this with all of your support!
