Here is a photo of our friend, Nyoman and his family. We have been raising money over the past few months to help Nyoman, his family and other people in Bali with food/living expenses as their income (tourist industry) has been closed off since March 2020.

Thank you to all who have contributed via donation and those who have purchased a cold brew at our cafe, ! We have donated a $1 from every cold brew purchase to go towards this cause throughout the summer and will continue to do so until Sept. 30th!
•
So far between direct donations and the cold brew donations, we have been able to give Nyoman over $1,000 to help care for his family and his community. Thank you! ❤️

Guatemala Sustainabilty Project
2021 Update! 🌱☕️🌱

Soil preparation began a few weeks ago in Guatemala to prepare for the planting of 25,000 coffee plants!
•
We have teamed up with our friends in Guatemala to setup nursery programs across various farms and regions in Guatemala. So far- they have prepared 14,500 growing bags in 4 locations and have started the growing process of the coffee plants from seed. The plants will be transplanted into the grow bags in the coming weeks.
•
We will keep you updated with photos and videos of the nursery process as well as information about the coffee growing regions and the coffee farmers involved in the project.

This is our friend- Newman. He is an awesome lively person with a heart of gold and lives in Bali with his family. He has three beautiful children he cares for with the help of his loving wife.
•
Garrett (Co-Owner) & his wife, Sydney met Newman while visiting Bali. He was our driver. Currently, Newman is not able to provide basic needs for his family due to tourism being closed off to Bali for over a year.
•
We are going to be helping Newman and his family through direct donations and through our café, Black Owl Café. We will be donating $1 from each sale of our Indonesian Islands Cold Brew sold at . The cold brew is delicious and a blend of Bali & Sumatra coffee!

We had the pleasure working with our friends at this past year and funded the planting of over 25,000 coffee plants in 2020!

This video will show you 1 of the 3 nurseries that housed the plants as they mature and explain a bit of the process. We are thankful that we were able to contribute to this project and thankful for the expertise of the staff who maintain the nursery and help grow sustainable coffee production in Guatemala.

Kalamazoo Coffee & Euphoria Coffee have combined forces and funded the planting of over 20,000 coffee plants from seed in the year, 2020. Three coffee nurseries have been created from our friends in Guatemala- which will be home for these plants for the next 18 months.

Kalamazoo Coffee Co. & Euphoria Coffee are celebrating National Coffee Day today by announcing our first Kalamazoo Coffee Co. Sustainabilty Project! ☕️✨☕️✨☕️

This year (with your help! ♥️) we were able to fund planting 3 coffee nurseries with 20,000 COFFEE PLANTS in Guatemala with our partners, ! Once mature, the plants will be transplanted to model farms. The model farms serve as field schools for other farmers in the community to learn about the best coffee production practices and see positive growing results in the field. These 20,000 coffee plants will also produce an abundant amount of coffee for years to come.
