This past weekend we celebrated the life of our Aunty Lani through love, laughter and plenty tears with our 'ohana. We end this Memorial Day weekend placing her photo at the food truck as a tribute and a reminder to live life to the fullest and to always cherish and love one another. Forever in our hearts and never forgotten. We love and miss you Aunty Lani!

The food truck will be closed on Saturday, May 23, 2026, so my ‘ohana and I can celebrate our Aunty Lani. We will reopen Monday, May 25, 2026. Mahalo for understanding 🤙🏽

To my father’s best friend and biggest supporter—our Aunty Lani, my father’s oldest sister.

She helped open Da Bald Guy back in 2016 alongside his three sisters. Without them—especially Aunty Lani—Da Bald Guy food truck wouldn’t be where it is today. They helped pave the way for me to step in, support the business, and eventually take over in 2019.

As you all know, Aunty Lani stood by our side, working and supporting the truck until she fell ill. She always had my father’s and my best interests at heart, and she ran the truck as if it were her own. She loved, cared for, and welcomed everyone.

Aunty Lani was the glue and the rock—not only for the truck, but for our entire family. There is a huge hole in our family and in our hearts.

Her legacy will live on forever through Da Bald Guy—built on family, love, and the people who shaped us.

We love you, Aunty Lani. This food truck will carry on the legacy you started ❤️

May Pop Ups!

Catch us this Saturday, 4/25 from 4-10pm. In addition to our regular menu items, we will be serving up spam sloppy joe on sweet rolls sliders and spam chili!

Since tomorrow is Good Friday, why not do something fun at our pop up .hawaii if you get an egg with a peep inside, you get 1 free plate on us. But it must be claimed before the end of the night tomorrow!
