Hala Tree Cafe Hala Tree Cafe is a farmer-owned coffee shop in Ka'a'awa, just minutes from Kualoa Ranch on Oahu's windward coast. See you soon!

We serve the best 100% Kona coffee on O'ahu, grown and roasted by us on our own farm. We also have a variety of other specialty drinks including organic matcha and loose leaf tea. Our menu includes breakfast food, brunch, and lunch all day and we bake our bread and pastries fresh in-house every morning. We’ve got delicious vegetarian and vegan food options, free wifi for working or studying, and plenty of dog friendly seating with the best ocean view in town.

From rainy morning coffee runs to post-beach matchas, familiar faces, and conversations that turned into friendships, Kā‘a‘awa became home in ways we never expected.

Before we begin our next chapter in Waikīkī, come see us in Kā‘a‘awa one more time through June 7. Then, we’ll welcome you back with a soft opening beginning June 19 at our new home at Lilia Waikīkī in downtown Honolulu. ☕️

This little café gave us some of the best years, best people, and best memories we could’ve asked for—and now, we’re so excited to bring Hala Tree into its next chapter.

Our final day in Kā‘a‘awa will be June 7, and just a little later, we’ll reopen in Honolulu for our soft opening at Lilia Waikīkī beginning June 19, with our official grand opening on July 1. Same Hala Tree, just with a little more room to welcome even more of the community. ☕️🌴

We can’t wait to welcome old friends and new faces into this next season with us in Waikīkī.

We’re grateful that everyone at Hala Tree came through the recent storms safely, without serious damage or injury. While we did experience some loss of business during the closures, we know many in our community were far more severely affected.

In the spirit of supporting our neighbors, we will be sending 10% of all sales over the next seven days to Kāko‘o O‘ahu in order to quickly direct these funds to those who need assistance most.

We are also accepting donation dropoffs at the cafe for anyone who wants to help but can't make it to the affected areas. Items accepted include shelf-stable food, bottled water, gloves, hygiene products, buckets, disinfectant wipes, and other essential supplies. These items will be delivered by us directly to established drop-off points near Waialua and Haleʻiwa.
