The building traces its roots to a small doctor's office when it was built in the 1940s. Since then it has been transformed into a restaurant and has housed several cafes throughout the years. As of January 1, 2014, the cafe has been owned by Olivia and Jacob Losby as they set out to make Old Town Cafe the best it can possibly be. Old Town features breakfast and lunch items that range from big bre

akfast burritos to homemade soups. Diners can find a quaint setting and a comfortable atmosphere with a bottomless cup of coffee and good conversation.

Hi! It’s Olivia!

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season.

The response to the cookbook was overwhelming (like in an anxiety inducing way) but it made me happy to know that you will hopefully be making some of your favorite old town dishes at home.

For this next round of books, I’ll be doing things a little differently. Primarily, I have created a Shopify to make ordering online easier, for me and for you! I’ll be able to ship books, and there will also be a local pickup option.

The books are set to arrive early next week, and I will be sharing the Shopify website at that time, and more info about ordering.

Thanks for bearing with me! I learned a lot about what not to do when releasing a cookbook on social media :)

WOW - The response to the cookbooks has been amazing and I definitely underestimated how many to order 😅 the good news is, I ordered more and they will be arriving in early January.

I am still working on going through messages and comments, but if I’ve responded to your message or comment so far, I have you on my list for shipping or pick up. I appreciate your patience and I apologize if you don’t get a book in this first round, but I will still note your order and let you know when the next shipment arrives.

FOR LOCAL FOLKS: pick up will be available this Sunday the 18th at Arrowhead Chocolates from 1 to 3 in the afternoon. If this doesn’t work for you, I will also be at Arrowhead on Friday the 23rd from 1 to 3.

For shipping: I will do my best to get your orders in the mail Monday or Tuesday, but I can’t promise that they will arrive before Christmas 😬

I do hope to get the cookbook in a few local shops when the second shipment arrives, so be on the lookout for that as well!

For all you friends and family who don’t live in the county — shipping is available, and orders over $50 ship free!

Pre-order until November 22nd. Items will be ready to pick up or ship the first week of December.

Wow, what a weekend! Our bodies are tired but our hearts are so full. 🙏🏻

We’re not really sure how to express how grateful we are to have been a part of such a wonderful community. Whether you trusted us at the start or not (we were 22 after all 😅), we hope that we made you proud. We learned so much about ourselves in the process and we made friendships that will last a lifetime.

To our employees that we had throughout our 8 years, thank you for being there with us, both during the incredibly busy summer months as well as the laid back winter days. We really wouldn’t be anything without the many hands that helped along the way.

To our wonderful Main Street neighbors, thank you for always being a constant source of camaraderie and support (both morally and business-wise ❤️)

And of course, to all of our patrons - both locally and from afar - thank you. You are what made our little café world go round.

Y’all have been loving our frozen soups! So much so, that it’s been difficult to post about them online because they’re gone before we get a chance!

We’re so glad you’re loving them though, and we’re hoping to have lots of quarts in the freezer for you for our last weekend (🥲)

If you saw The Chieftain article last week, you know that we are planning to release an Old Town Cookbook. We are still in the early stages of the process, but hope to get some work done on it this fall and have it released sometime in the new year! We feel honored that so many of you reached out to ask if we would ever consider doing a cookbook, and we’re now pursuing it!

At the time of this posting, in the freezer, we have:
3 quarts Split Pea & Ham
2 quarts Curried Sweet Potato
3 quarts Clam Chowder
1 quart Hearty Lasagna
