We have experienced the pleasure of meeting Privy ourselves and we say boisterously, he is Not AI!

He is humorous, clever, cheeky and very real!
Catch him if the fates allow at your nearest Ren faire.

It’s come to my attention that a lot of people think I’m A.I. generated lol! I’m worried that it could cause possible fans to skip past my videos, instantly assuming that I’m not the real deal. I am eternally grateful for those who have taken time out of their day to tell others I’m legit. I might get past this A.I. hump one day. I’m hoping it’s not slowing my growth, but it feels like that could be a possibility. Anyways, if any of you want to share me and tell others I’m not A.I. slop lol, I’d appreciate it. Love you guys and have a Trolltastic day! 🧌🫶

We certainly agree with your awards!
The pizza is so unique and always incredible!
But it's not just their pizza that stands out!
Everything we have ever tried has always been fantastic!

I don't do much for the shows, but there's a reason they are always so packed! I know they get some incredible talent in there!

Congratulations to the entire Blackthorn Pizza & Pub family!

You know how I've been talking a lot lately about us evolving into more of a restaurant than a bar these days? Well, I wasn't kidding. We were nominated for 4 categories for the Best of the Four States. We won all but 1, Best Bar.....which I'm honestly glad we didn't win, because we're not the best bar. The 2 I cared about the most and REALLY wanted to win? Best Pizza and Best Concert Venue. THAT'S what we do. THAT'S where we excel. We also won Best 18+ Entertainment Venue, which is ALWAYS won by a casino. Not this year. Congrats to all the Winners, including our besties over at Beard Engine Brewing Co.!!! Woohoo!!! Also a big congrats to those who received Honorable Mention! Good job everyone! Love seeing so many small businesses being celebrated! Anyway, if you haven't tried our new Guinness Hand-tossed Crust yet......you should. Then maybe you'll understand why we won Best Pizza. See ya here! ❤️

Starting TOMORROW, Sunday, August 2, RCL will be closed on Sundays.

Why the change? Closing on Sundays gives us dedicated time to take care of our building, tackle maintenance projects, and most importantly, give our hard-working team a consistent day to rest and recharge!

Don't worry, we’re still here to serve you 6 days a week!

UPDATED HOURS
• Monday - Thursday: 6:30AM -11:00PM
• Friday - Saturday: 6:30AM - Midnight
• Sunday: Closed

Thank you, good travelers!

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you all for the incredible support you've shown The Short Rest over the past few days. Your enthusiasm has been inspiring and we are truly grateful!

There are two matters we'd like to address.

First, we'd like to offer our sincerest apologies to those who were unable to find a seat yesterday. Between reserved tables, walk-in guests, and reaching our tavern's capacity, we simply could not accommodate everyone. While this is a wonderful problem for a new tavern to have, we know it's disappointing if you made the journey only to be turned away, and for that, we truly beg your pardon.

To ensure every guest receives the experience they deserve, we'll be placing our events on hold for a short time while we focus on what matters most: serving great food and providing exceptional hospitality.

This means there will be no D&D game today. 😬

Second, if you're planning to travel an hour or more to visit us, we strongly encourage making a reservation beforehand. That way, you can arrive knowing a table awaits and your visit will be well worth the journey.

Once more, we humbly ask your forgiveness if we were unable to welcome you this weekend. Thank you for your patience, your kindness, and for helping make The Short Rest feel like home already.

We'll keep the hearth warm until your next visit. 🍻

5pm: Tales of the wandering fighter.
6pm: The Grand Melee.

Oy! Brawlers small and large, this day at the stroke of 6 we begin again with our combative entertainment!

Medieval Fight Club is rebranded as "The Grand Melee" and the rules are a bit different!

What has changed? There is no longer a tournament. No winners or losers. Just two bodies, whopping it out for 2 minutes!
Not enough? Sign up as many times as you like and fight till your heart's content!

What's the same?
No HEAD shots! 60% percent energy!
No grabbing weapons! NO GRAPPLING!
We are not a gym 😉

Finally, starting at 5 we will have a story told by a brave young man to tantalize the senses before chaos reigns.
